When St. Patrick’s Day rolls around, police departments nation wide are well-prepared for the rowdiness that WILL consume the streets of their city.

Well, the Kansas City Police were more than ready to take on the masses during this year’s green celebration. “Ready” in a way much different than you’d ever expect.

At first, the boisterous cops plow through the crowd, waving people out of the way. One of the uniformed men steps out into the clearing and begins yelling over the confusion. But it’s not until he says “hit it” that I realized what was actually going on.

With music blaring over the speakers, the Kansas City Police department break out into the Electric Slide, surprising all of the St. Patty’s Day parade bystanders!
