It can be hard for us dedicated pet lovers to understand what might influence someone’s action to abandon pets. Pet abandonment is a huge problem worldwide. There are countless loving, adoptable dogs that die every year, simply because their owners can no longer take care of them. This gorgeous female pit bull, Poly, had just been taken to the park and left on the bench. An occurrence that this is sadly not unusual.
To make matters worse, she had just given birth.
In addition to being blind, Poly has a couple of medical issues. She has been diagnosed with heart and skin conditions. But thanks to godsend pet lovers, Poly was placed in a foster home, where she is clearly thriving.

It’s unknown what happened to Poly’s puppies though one can logically expect that they were probably sold. Poly’s journey is being documented on her Facebook page, Poly The Blind Pibble. Her caretakers have commenced funding efforts to assist with the very expensive heart surgery she will likely need.
