Few things in life are as refreshing as a big, cool glass of iced tea on a hot summer day. But then I saw this video and my perspective on tea will never be the same!

We all know and love watermelon as a delicious fruit that’s a summertime favorite. Its great on its own, in salads, as a side dish, or even mixed in with a cocktail! But have you ever thought of turning a watermelon into a teapot?!

Thanks to our friends over at Food Life Hacks, Ideas and Recipes we now know how to make our own infused watermelon tea! It’s actually quite simple and after watching the video I kept wondering why I had never thought of that!

In the video he cuts off one end of the watermelon and hollows out the middle. Then he cuts a small triangle into the hollowed out piece, as well as the piece he cut off. He matches up the two pieces creating a watermelon teapot, with the triangle cut outs being the spout.

Then he takes the tea of his choice and puts it in the hollowed out watermelon and pours boiling water over it. And easy as that – he’s got watermelon flavored tea in a watermelon tea pot!
