The owner of a California nursing home bought Power Ball tickets for all of his employees, and one of the nurses won the 1.5 billion cash prize- or so she thought.
It turns out the woman’s son was playing a mean prank on her, sending her a picture of what he claimed to be her winning ticket. The nurse and other workers at Park Avenue Healthcare & Wellness Center in Pomona, California celebrated after news of their colleague’s new fortune of being one of the winners of the record jackpot.
Shlomo Reichnitz, the facility’s owner, bought tickets for patients and nurses at the nursing homes and, for a short time, everyone thought they were in the presence of a winner.

While the woman’s son is likely in the dog house, she may turn out a winner after all. Reichnitz told ABC 7 News that the joke was not a nice, and he is willing to make things up by sending the nurse on an all-paid vacation to wherever she chooses.
That’s the least he could do…
