Although walking and yoga are great ways for a pregnant woman to stay active and get her exercise, there’s a world of other physical activities available these days. One of those activities is dancing! This Ontario mom shows us just how much fun pregnant dancing can be.
If the last time you danced was in your second-grade ballet recital or at your best friend’s bachelorette party, pregnancy just might be the time to try it again. The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends that most pregnant women participate in 30 minutes or more of moderate exercise on most, if not all, days of the week. For women whose doctors have medically cleared them to exercise during pregnancy, dance can be a great alternative to the usual prescriptions of yoga and walking.
Carly Campbell took this advice to heart and recorded herself dancing the unborn baby out of her. Dancing to a song that she can clearly relate to, the mom-to-be drops it to the floor.
She does the running man and gyrates to the fitting words of being pregnant for too long. A lot of people might be inclined to think that pregnant woman should remain sedentary, but the truth is, when you’re building a human life, you’re exponentially stronger than you ever imagined. And quite flexible, from the looks of this mom!
