We all know and love vending machines for providing us with our favorite snacks and beverages. Granted, most of these delicious items aren’t exactly the healthiest, but I guess that’s what you get with instant snacks.

But this vending machine in China is unlike ANYTHING we have the United States. In Nanjing, China a company is testing out a new type of vending machine – one that gives locals a way to take home food that they can cook.

Instead of Doritos, this vending machine is popping out hairy crabs, a local delicacy in this region of China. People can put their money in the machine, get a live crab, and take it home to cook for dinner. It’s like going to the grocery store, but way more convenient because these vending machines are in the subways of Nanjing.
