Contrary to what cartoons want you to believe, not all cats hate birds. In fact, Timo the Ragdoll’s newest best friend is a parrot — well, a stuffed parrot, to be exact.

Adorable Timo is woken up from what appears to be a fabulous nap (note the sprawled out pose with his mouth open) by a stuffed, though very realistic looking parrot. Unsurprisingly, he appears to be quite confused, but unlike what you expect, he doesn’t attack the bird. Instead, he simply stares at it for a little while. What in the world is that?

Once the parrot is moved over to Timo’s cat tower, Timo jumps up and tries to get the parrot to play. Unfortunately for Timo, and all of us watching, the parrot can’t play back. Despite their differences, this is a cute friendship, isn’t it? Timo is a great sport about his new friend and his only annoyance appears to stem from the fact that the parrot won’t play!

Someone please get Timo a real bird to play with. That is definitely a video we’d like to see!
