The University of Minnesota Vet Center was in for quite the surprise when they welcomed this pregnant horse into their care.
The expectant mother-to-be was under constant watch in the weeks leading up to her highly anticipated birth. In the video below, we meet Dr. Stephanie Valberg, director at the university veterinary center. When she delivered the newborn horse, she noticed Henry was a bit smaller than she anticpiated.
Then, she saw another set of legs! Out came Henry’s twin, William. This incredibly rare phenomenon results in less than a 1% survival rate for the twin foals. However, with the tender care of the university doctors, the twins are thriving and headed home!
Meet the adorable duo in the video below!
