Get Rid of Dents In Your Wooden Furniture With This Quick Hack!

Angela Markus

It can happen with anything made out of wood. A well-used table, a wooden floor, or a piece of wood that you purchased for a craft. They are all apt to sustain dents. But there is a hack that is simple and quite cost efficient. The items needed to complete are all in your home.

You will need an iron, paper towel (an old t-shirt or rag will work, too), water, and sand paper.

On the dented area, pour a small amount of water, enough to cover the dent. Cover the area with your paper towel or rag. Now, with your iron on its highest setting, hold it over the affected area and make small movements back and forth, as well as circular motions. Be sure to press down firmly and continue until your paper towel or rag is dry. It takes no time to evaporate.

At this point, the wood fibers have absorbing the water and it should expand back to where they were originally. You can continue this process and repeat by adding more water until the dents rise to be flush with the rest of the material.

The area around the dent should be smooth. However, depending on the damage, you may still see an outline from where it was. To remove that, slightly sandpaper the area. Within a few seconds, it will be good as new.

Amazing!
