What begins as a scenario filled with unforeseen heartbreak, ends as a triumphant story of survival!

A 6-month-old puppy was heard in the depths of a street drain in Tirana, Albania. People passing by noticed the cries of the fearful pup and tried to find a way to help her escape. It wasn’t until the Animal Rescue of Albania was notified that the real work began!

After two weeks of frustration and struggle, they finally found a way to open a tunnel in the street and save the very scared and dehydrated puppy. The volunteers say this is the first rescue that ended in such success and motivates them to continue their mission of helping animals in need.

The sweet puppy is called Adira, but I think she deserves a name like HOPE! She’s slowly recovering in a local vet clinic where doctors give her the faith she needs to survive. Her strength to build herself up again allows her to maintain a loving outlook and keep her tail waggin’! They say they hope to find a loving family to adopt this lucky little pooch.
