If you’ve ever gone rock climbing, you know just how difficult it can be. Here’s a bear, heavy in stature, who’s defying all odds. She’s going where no bear has gone before — or so we think.

“I didn’t realize bears could climb!” a woman admits as she zooms in on a cliff-hanging bear. This adventurous bear searches for the next place to put her paw as she’s gliding across the giant cliff to safety. As rocks fall from her dangling feet, she begs for the bear not to fall.

Surprise! The big bear is not alone. A bear cub is following the older bear up the side of the rock wall nearby. It’s a family on a journey! The mama bear eventually makes it to a cliff, and climbs to safety. The woman behind the camera starts to cheer on the baby bear as it is struggling to make it to his destination.

The baby bear starts climbing at a rapid pace. Within a few stressful seconds, the baby bear finally meets his mama and makes it to the top.
