Unless your three-year-old made it themselves, receiving a card on your birthday is not exciting. It’s one of those pointless gifts people give when they don’t want to put much thought into a gift. But 40 years ago, two brothers decided to put a little extra thought into their birthday card than most people would ever think of doing.
According to Aplus.com, one man received a birthday card from his brother in 1973 that gave the instructions, “Don’t throw this card away, recycle it to a friend.” Unlike most brothers, he listened to his brother and has since recycled the birthday card with him.
40 years later, the card looks how’d you expect, bruised and broken, but still in tact to be recycled another 40 years more!
