One couple happened to capture TransAsia Airways’ Flight 235’s final moments in the air on their dashcam. We watch in horror as the plane turns sharply, clips the highway and plunges into the Keelung River below.

Moments before the plane crashed, the pilot was recorded saying “mayday, mayday, engine flameout.” Taiwan aviation officials has confirmed 31 dead with 12 people still missing, rescue teams still searching for those unaccounted for. Rescuers in rubber rafts were able to save 15 people from the wreckage.

Many have said they believe the pilot intentionally aimed the plane into the river to avoid additional casualties.

This footage was so shocking, it was almost too hard to watch. I am praying for all of the victim’s families with high hopes that those who are missing will be found.
