These 5 Secret Poses Will Make You Look Great In Every Single Photo

Angela Markus

Photographs are still shots of time. They capture those special moments and provide us with memories that last forever. While some people are naturally photogenic, others will make you retake a picture several times until it is perfect. Sound familiar? I’m guilty too.

In an age where social media plays such an important role in our presentation, it’s no wonder why our sole intent is to look perfect for the camera. Ohio-based photographer Jodee Ball understands the need for excellent pictures, so she has compiled a few tips to transform those horrid pictures in the glamorous memories.

We believe that everybody can look perfect on camera, you just need to know what to do. Ball recommends 5 secret poses to come out great in every photo you take.

Strike a carefree pose. Contorting your body slight to create an ’S’ is an excellent way to look more relaxed. Also, putting your thumbs in your pocket is way better than putting your entire hand.

Turn your body away from the camera by about three quarters. This secret will make you look slimmer on camera and prevents the straight-shoulders look.

Be careful of your hands. You might be inclined to touch your face in a photograph. If you do, it’s very important not to turn your palm to face the camera. Instead, it should replicate the contours of your face.

Bend your knees. If you are being photographed from the side, remember the first tip while bending your knees and lowering your shoulders. You will create the best pose possible.

Tilt your head slightly. The straight look is too reminiscent of a mug shot, so tilting your head will give the illusion that you are looking up at the camera.
