In true “Shawshank Redemption” fashion, two men have seemed to successfully escape from a New York prison. The two men — Richard Matt, 48, and David Sweat, 34 — were in New York’s Clinton Correctional Facility under murder charges.
Matt and Sweat used dummy bodies, which they built out of sweatshirts, to trick the guards. They then used power tools (how they got them? No one knows) to drill through walls and pipes, according to the New York Times.
The escape happened overnight on a Friday and Anthony Annuci, the acting state corrections commissioner, noticed the men were missing during an early morning bed check on Saturday, says Gawker as reported by the Associated Press.

This incident has sent shockwaves throughout New York and the rest of the country. How could this happen? Where could the two men be? Perhaps on a beach in Zihuatanejo, Mexico by now?
On top of the dramatic escape, which is crazy enough, there’s another interesting detail to this wild story: a somewhat racist and puzzling note left behind by the two.

This note, which reads, “Have A Nice Day!” has left police dumbfounded. No one can figure out what it means, if it’s even supposed to mean something at all! But I must admit those lines and cursive are on point. Just look at that!
Governor Andrew Cuomo is on the hunt for these two men and has offered a reward for any information leading to the arrest of the escaped inmates, he writes on Twitter.

This whole situation seems like it’s straight out of a movie and hard to believe it’s actually real! What do YOU think of this puzzling note — do you think it’s nonsense or does it have some cryptic meaning?
