We’ve all been posed with the question, ‘Why did the chicken cross the road?’ (which is still one of life’s greatest mysteries), but have you ever wondered why the sheep crossed the road? If you’ve never sat and pondered why a sheep might cross a road, you will after you see this video.
What you’re about to see is a surreal scene from Vina del Mar, Chile. Alejandro Blas Glucevic was driving down a rural road when, all of a sudden, he was stopped in his tracks by a massive flock of sheep. This was no small flock. Thousands and thousands of sheep completely covered the road for miles – as far as the eye could see.
I’m not sure if this is a normal occurrence, but this sheep-pocalypse is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. Same for Glucevic apparently, who pulled out his camera and snagged some footage of this strange phenomenon.
To get through, Glucevic and other cars on the road had to drive slowly through the massive herd, like parting the Red Sea. There’s not a whole lot of information out there about why or how all of these sheep happened to overtake this road, but I would love to know! It’s like a case of counting sheep gone terribly wrong.
One thing’s for sure, it’s going to take a long time to herd all those sheep back to where they’re supposed to go.
