America’s seniors have historically been late adopters to the world of technology compared to their younger compatriots, but their movement into digital life continues to deepen. These days, senior citizens have access to technology that is light years beyond the old Life Alert bracelets. And although some of our elders do not care to be bothered by the advances of technology, it seems like they cannot escape it.

From specially designing smart watches to advanced sensor systems meant to detect falls, tech companies are developing products with seniors in mind. It’s a trend that some in the industry think is long overdue as some seem to embrace the new direction.

But sometimes, before our grandparents are acquainted, it’s clear they need a couple of sessions of tutorials. Take this grandma, for example, whose exchange with her frustrated grandchild was so funny it made it to the front page of Imgur.

I don’t know whether or not Grammy finally managed to tell Grandpa to take the lasagna out of the fridge when he gets home, but I do know that “Ooops, silly potato,” is now my new favorite phrase.
