I don’t know what it is, but every time I hear the national anthem I get goose bumps. That powerful ballad ignites a sense of pride and patriotism in me I didn’t even know existed! And between you and me, hearing the national anthem is my favorite part of any sporting event. But shhh, don’t tell my husband.

But when John Vincent stepped out on to Wrigley Field to sing the national anthem at a Chicago Cubs game everyone in the crowd was in AWE. He walks out on to the field, takes his place in front of the microphone, and then starts belting it out like I’ve never heard before!

If I weren’t watching the video and just listening, I’d swear Frank Sinatra had come back from the dead and was singing. He sounds so much like the late great Rat Pack member that it’s almost kind of eerie!
