Being a single parent isn’t always a walk in the park! As the sole person who makes each decision, it can sometimes be burdensome. Not only do you have to think about yourself, but you also have to communicate with the other parent and find the best balance for your child.
Children bring so much meaning and joy to our lives but I think we can all agree that parenting isn’t always easy! The single father in this story knows those struggles all too well, but one night he received something that would lift his spirits and move him to tears.
He was out to dinner with his little girl on Valentine’s Day when he received a note from two total strangers. These two good Samaritans saw this father out with his daughter and decided to write him a heartfelt note. Not only that, but they also paid for his meal as well!
While the father was reading the note, he was visibly moved and could not resist the tears from streaming down his face. The note ends with the two saying, “From two adults who grew up without dads, it’s so important to have a male role model at a young age.”
The photo he sent in is not only warming, but inspirational to everyone! It really makes you realize how special the bond between a father and his children really is.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 24 million children in America grow up without their biological father living in their home. That’s an astonishing number and unfortunately true.
The father and his daughter had no idea how special their Valentine’s Day together really was.
