For anyone, taking the stage in front of thousands of people while being broadcasted on live television is no easy feat. In fact, I can’t think of anyone I know (myself included) that actually has the courage to do something like that.
But when Becky O’Brien put her fears aside and decided to take the stage for “Britain’s Got Talent,” she looked cool as a cucumber. This mother of five, that’s right five, had wanted to do something like this for years, but kept putting it off.
She says she put her life on hold to focus on her children, especially after her twins were born two months premature. Until one night she was watching an episode of “Britain’s Got Talent,” and her 11-year-old son brought up the idea of her going on the show.
He said, “Mum, why don’t you get up there and do it? Why don’t you show Simon Cowell how it’s done?”
But at that time, which was more than a year ago, it was easier said than done for Becky. It wasn’t until she freed herself from an abusive relationship that she found the strength and courage to finally audition for the show.
When she took the stage and opened her mouth to sing, everyone in the crowd went silent. Her amazing voice and stage presence had everyone in the crowd on their feet!
