Many people see crows as a nuisance and don’t bother to pay much attention to them but 8-year-old Gabi is different. Gabi and her mom have spent years getting to know their neighborhood birds. She must have super powers for the crows to do this for her!

This sweet girl has been feeding her neighborhood crows since she was four-years-old and doesn’t plan on stopping any time soon! She and her mother have a tradition of feeding the birds every morning. They will put fresh water in their bird bath, set out peanuts and wait for the birds to come.

When she first started feeding them, the crows must have taken notice of her kindness because they have found their own way of saying thank you. Many times, when they go out to refill the feeders they discover small gifts that the crows have left for them.

Some of the gifts she has received over the years are metal scraps, buttons, legos and beads. There was one time that the crows even found her mother missing lens cap and returned it to the bird bath!

Her favorite gift is a small heart they left for her to tell her how much they love her. 

Gabi’s story should be a lesson for all of us on kindness towards animals!
