One professor at the University of California, San Diego is in some hot water for getting a little “risque” in an art class.
Ricardo Dominguez, an associate professor at the university, has been teaching Visual Arts 104A: Performing the Self for 11 years. In this class, as part of the final, he required his students to perform a “nude” gesture for the class. This meant to either become emotionally or physically naked in front of the whole class. All but one of the students chose to get naked in front of the class and people were NOT happy about it.
“It bothers me. I’m not sending her to school for this,” said a mother of a woman who took the class. She claims her daughter said that students were told to perform nude or risk a failing grade.
Dominguez allegedly informed students of these expectations of their first day and some students dropped the class.
