Do you love the taste of Hawaiian Sweet Buns? Have you ever tried Hawaiian Sweet Dough Hamburger Buns? Well this video is sure is tempt your interest. In this video, Mother’s BBQ shows us how to make Hawaiian Sweet Dough Hamburger Buns from scratch.
You will need:
- ½ cup of milk
- Tablespoon of active yeast
- Canola oil
- Brown sugar
- 3 whole eggs
- Quarter cup of salted butter
- 2/3 cups of crushed pineapple with the juice
- 5 cups of flour
- Mixer or bowl
- Buttered pan
- And of course a grill
The first step in this creation is to heat the milk to 110 degrees, after which you’ll add the yeast. Stir and let sit for five minutes. As you can see, this man is using a mixer, but you can use a bowl if you don’t have a mixer, it will work just as well.
He then pours the milk and yeast mixture into the mixer, then adds some canola oil, some brown sugar, two whole eggs lightly whipped, quarter cup of salted butter and 2/3 cup of crushed pineapples with juice.
Following closely, you are going to want to turn on your mixer to a low speed. Now comes the messy part. Slowly stir in the flour, ½ cup at a time until you have added four to five cups. At this point the dough should be sticky.
This hunky chef then takes the mixture out of the mixer and puts into a bowl, covers with a damp cloth to rise, and places it in an oven for an hour. Yes, the oven remains off. Take out of oven, portion into six balls or so, and let it rise one more time.
In a buttered pan, he places four balls in there, and yes, lets it rise for another hour. Patience is a virtue! In a small bowl whip an egg with water and then brush each ball of dough.
Heat the grill/oven to 350 degrees and place pan on the grill for 20 – 25 minutes. As we see, the result is mouth-watering Hawaiian Sweet Dough Hamburger Buns.
Just delightful! SHARE the love and pass it on!
