The high school seniors filed into class one weekday morning, just like any other day. Instead of their teacher, Iris Howorth, walking through the door, they were greeted with a familiar face from the school hallways.

His name is Jonathon Holt, Ms. Howorth’s caring boyfriend and fellow teacher. Holt wanted to incorporate Ms. Howorth’s love for teaching and compassion for her students as he nervously asked for her hand in marriage.

He set up a camera, hidden behind the desks in the back of the classroom, to capture the entire thing. He instructed the students to pretend to show Ms. Howorth their notes and homework from the previous day, and then “propose” to her with a Ring Pop.

When the first boy gets down on one knee, she knows it’s all a ploy to distract her from something else. The jokes continue, and she has no idea what to think! Then, in walks her boyfriend and the real question is asked!
