Lisa Freeman lost her son in battle. He was only two weeks in Afghanistan when his duty ended. Since he was a small boy, he always dreamed of joining the Marines and fighting for his country, so she wanted to remember him in a way that represented his childhood dream.
Five years later, Lisa pulled out her sewing machines, slipped on her craft glasses, and with his military uniform he passed in, created a teddy bear, stuffed with cotton and love. It was a way for his sisters to remember their brother who passed too soon.
It wasn’t long before her inspiring creation spread throughout the military community. In no time, Lisa Freeman was creating these Fallen Soldier Teddy Bears for all those who lost a loved one in the military.
This story is absolutely uplifting! See how she’s changing the world one Teddy Bear at a time.
