Tona Herndon visited her husband’s grave just two weeks after he passed away. During a moment of heartbreak and vulnerability, a strange man robbed her while she was paying her respects.

The police were able to track down the criminal who took advantage of Tona and put his mugshot on television. His son, 15-year-old Christian Lunsford, immediately recognized his face.

His father had been in and out of his life for as long as he could remember, but he knew for certain that man was his father. Christian reached out to Tona and asked to meet her in person. He felt she deserved an apology and even repayed his father’s debt.
