Over 100 people have been killed in Paris due to what has been reported to be a terrorist attack Friday night. Early Saturday morning, police released 100 hostages at the Paris concert venue Bataclan, where the siege died down after two of the attackers were killed.

President Francois Hollande called the event “unprecedented terrorist attacks,” adding to his tweet, “Faced with terror, this is a nation that knows how to defend itself, how to mobilize its forces and once again, knows how to overcome the terrorists.”

According to CNN.com, two gunmen dressed in black entered the venue with AK-47s and opened fire. The gunfire lasted 10 to 15 minutes, sending the crowd into a panic. French radio reporter Julien Pearce was inside the Bataclan theater and claimed to have seen 20 to 25 bodies lying on the floor as he managed to escape.

As people are following Hollande’s direction to stay indoors, many are inviting people off the streets and into their apartments, reports Philip Crowther, Washington correspondent for France 24.
