We all have our dream homes, right? I have always fantasized about living in a crisp white beach front villa, with large french doors opening onto a spacious balcony, and the rising sun peeking its head above the serene ocean. Yes, this is what I would consider to be my dream home. So when I heard of this relatively new idea of tree house paradises…I was a little confused. Who the heck would dream of living in a tree?!

Because if you’re anything like me, when you think of tree houses, one of two things probably comes to mind:

Swiss Family Robinson, or that old rickety treehouse from your childhood!

For me, I never had my own treehouse, but I certainly remember the envy I felt over the one from the movie!

Well, lucky for me…tree houses are no longer restricted to a secret hideaway for children, or a fairy tale home on the big screen! Just like the tiny house movement gaining popularity around the world, so is the tree house movement! From backyards to restaurants to hotels, these places are almost too awesome to be believed!
