Did you know that June is National Iced Tea Month?

There really is nothing better than a cool, crisp, refreshing glass of iced tea on a hot, summer day.

The Domestic Geek is always coming up with tasty new recipes and this time it’s three delicious iced tea recipes that will blow you away!

We’ll start with the tried and true, classic iced tea.

Iced Tea

Begin by pouring hot water into a heatproof container, such a large, Pyrex measuring cup. Then add your tea bags to the hot water. A good ratio is about six tea bags to eight cups of water, however, if you prefer your tea a bit stronger, feel free to use more teas bags. Next, add some lemon zest (optional) to the hot liquid and allow to steep for five minutes. Be careful not to over steep your tea as it can result in a bitter flavor. When the tea is done steeping, remove the tea bags and lemon zest and let cool.

If you prefer your tea sweetened, you can easily whip up a sweetener by combining some honey with hot water. Once the tea and sweetener have cooled, combine everything in a large pitcher, add some (optional) lemon and/or orange slices, stir and serve!

Iced Tea

Next up is raspberry peach iced tea. Start by adding your tea bags to hot water and steep, following the same steps as above. Once the tea has cooled, prepare your pitcher with ice. Add to that some sliced peaches and fresh raspberries. Top everything off with your cooled tea, give it a stir, and enjoy!

Iced Tea

Lastly, we have an incredibly refreshing, mojito inspired iced tea. The tea of choice for this recipe is green tea. Steep the green tea and the zest of one lime for three to five minutes. Remove the tea bags and zest and allow to cool. While cooling, combine some white sugar with hot water, stir until dissolved, and set aside to cool. To prepare your pitcher; fill with ice, add some fresh mint and then your tea and sweetener mixtures. Give it a good stir and you’re done!
