As much as you hate to come to terms with it, that favorite color of nail polish might need to be discarded. Even if you can’t find the exact shade you’ve had since high school because they do not make it anymore, it still needs to go.

Ladies love their nails. They make our hands look elegant and feminine, and we like them to be healthy and pretty.

However, a lot of girls make the mistake of not getting rid of those bottles of polish when they need to. Here are 7 signs it’s time to get rid of that polish.

 

 

The Polish Doesn’t Blend Easily

Seventeen magazine suggest that polish can last for up to two years if the bottles were opened. However, if you are painting your nails and the polish gets separated and “won’t blend after a quick shake,” it is time to go.

It has happened to most of us. We apply that favorite shade, and it has that cracked looked we were not going for. Maybe the cap was not tightened and the solvents in your polish evaporate, leaving you with a bottle of dried out polish thinner can’t fix. Toss it!
