My two favorite holidays are right around the corner. Thanksgiving is the time to give thanks and Christmas is the time of giving. It is the perfect excuse to have family members over and also spend hours in the kitchen making some incredible meals. As delicious as those meals are, there are only so many days that I can eat the same food over and over.
In my house, there is always an excess of turkey, what is a girl to do? Luckily for me, there are so many incredibly delicious ways to repurpose that turkey into dynamic dishes, like turkey leftover chili. Just uttering the words alone is mouthwatering.
You will need, 2 cans of your favorite chili, 2 cans of diced tomatoes, 2 cups of that delicious leftover turkey, 1 package of chili seasoning, 1 cup of water, 1 tablespoon of chili powder, cheese, and sour cream.
In that handy crockpot, throw in all of the ingredients and mix well together. This will take some time; cook on high for 4 to 6 hours. When you are ready to serve, pour some of the turkey chili into a bowl, sprinkle cheese and a couple of tablespoons of sour cream.
There is nothing like a bowl of leftover turkey chili on one of those cold winter nights.
SHARE the love and pass it on.
