Two Girls Were Canoeing When One Yells “Look Up!” What Caught Their Eye? WHOA!

Nature can work in the most mysterious and breathtaking ways. These two girls were out canoeing along the River Shannon, on their way to a tiny, untouched island. They were rowing along when one girl stops and gasps “look up!”

What they saw next neither was expecting. They look and happen to see one of the more rare and majestic phenomenons in nature — a murmuration. According to the dictionary, a murmuration is the action of murmuring; or a flock of starlings.

What these two girls witnessed on their tiny canoes was a flock of starlings – one of the most beautiful and rare occurrences in nature. On their own, a starling is not an exceptionally pretty bird. But when you get a whole flock of them together? Prepare to be amazed.

The flock that these two girls witnessed was beyond mesmerizing. These birds move in complete unison, almost like a school of fish flying through the air.
