UPDATE @ 1:52PM PST: Governor Kate Brown states shooter was a 20-year-old male. Now, the number one priority for emergency personnel is to ensure victims are treated and safe, and there are no additional threats.
UPDATE @ 1:40PM PST: According to John Hanlin, Douglas County Sheriff , the shooter’s threat was neutralized. He is deceased. There are confirmed injuries and confirmed fatalities.
UPDATE @ 1:10PM PST: 13 people are now confirmed dead from shooting.
A 911 call was made this morning at 10:38 PST regarding an active shooter at Umpqua Community College in Roseburg, Oregon. Now we learn that at least 10 are dead and 20 are wounded and have been taken to nearby hospitals.
According to The New York Times, the campus currently remains on lockdown and some of the outlying classrooms are being evacuated.
The community college is in Roseburg, just three hours south of Portland in rural southwestern Oregon, and has about 3,000 students.

This is a developing story. The situation at Umpqua Community College is still unfolding, and the nature of the alleged shooting is unknown. This is the first school shooting with multiple fatalities since late October of last year. In October 2014, a 15-year-old freshman student shot five other students at Marysville Pilchuck High School, in Marysville, Washington, fatally wounding four, before fatally shooting himself.
