These Paintings By Unborn Babies Show Just How Much Life They Have Even Before Birth

Childbirth is one of, if not the most beautiful thing a woman can experience. However, thousands of babies die during childbirth each year. This number is staggeringly high. So these expectant mamas decided to do something about it. After all, when you feel so helpless in preventing something, the least you can do is spread awareness. That’s what Belgian charity, Unborn Artists, does. After seeing the devastation of infant mortality in African countries, they decided it was time to step up and act, or as they put it:

“To help raise money, we let our unborn babies, support African unborn babies.”

Expecting mothers attached paintbrushes to their pregnant bellies and pointed them at a canvas. The brushes moved when the babies moved, creating their very own abstract pieces of art. The paintings were then sold at a baby convention and auctioned to raise money and awareness for the horrible problem of death before birth in African countries like Togo.

The charity also made DIY packs for other pregnant women to try at home. If you’re looking for a different and creative baby shower present, then look no further. You might have the next Picasso in there!

All money raised is donated to the SOS Children Villages, a charity that helps abandoned and orphaned children.
