Doing laundry is one of my least favorite chores, but yet it must be done. What makes it even more frustrating at times, is shrinkage of my favorite tee-shirts or joggers. My entire day gets ruined.
Did you know there are three types of shrinkage. Yup, three types of unnecessary stresses in life. Felting shrinkage occurs when fabric like wool is exposed to moisture and excessive heat; the scales compress and mesh together.
Then there is relaxation shrinkage—this happens when fabric is exposed to liquids or excessive moisture. When fabric is placed in tepid water, the fibers will relax and swell. Lastly, there is consolidation shrinkage, which occurs when moisture, heat and mechanical action—agitation during washing and drying—are combined.

But there is a way to unshrink your clothes. All that is needed is water and conditioner. First, soak the article of clothing in water and three tablespoons of conditioner for five minutes.

Next, lay the clothing on a towel and roll it up like a burrito. That will absorb all of the excess moisture.

Finally unroll the towel then lay clothing on a dry towel, stretch it out to its original size, and let it dry.

That’s it. Now, you will never have to deal with those tight or short clothes ever again.
