Brownies are delicious and classic American dessert. All too often there is a heavy debate on their finer points – fudgy, chewy, or cakey?
One of the best aspects of brownies is their decadence. If you are looking for the perfect Valentine’s Day recipe, try this cream cheese brownie with strawberries. Yum!
You will need 1 box of your favorite brownie mix and the ingredients to make them and 1 pound of strawberries.
For the topping gather 2 ounces of white chocolate or white chocolate chips, 2 tablespoons milk, 8 ounces of softened cream cheese, 1 cup cool whip, and 1 cup powdered sugar.
First make your brownies according to the instructions on the box. Then you will pour the mix into small cupcake liners and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes.
As soon as they’re done, place the brownies on a cooling rack. While they are still warm, press down the middle to make a thumbprint indentation.
As the brownies are cooling down slice the strawberries, and make the topping.
Microwave the milk and chocolate in a cup for 30 seconds. Stir until the chocolate is completely melted. Combine both the cream cheese and white chocolate mixture, and mix well with a hand mixer. Next, incorporate the whipped topping and the powdered sugar.
Finally, use a piping bag to fill the brownies with the topping, and then place a slice of strawberry on top.
These delicious bites can be stored in Tupperware in the refrigerator.
