Carter and Jack Hanson are your average 10-year-old twin brothers. They love playing games and sports like any other young boys, but they have one hobby that may set them apart from the rest.

It all started with a game of Battleship. After that, they eventually became fascinated with naval warfare. The family decided to take a trip to Charleston, N.C., to see the Yorktown, a retired aircraft carrier. The boys say this trip changed their lives!

While on their family vacation, they learned about Robert Harding, a veteran who served on the Yorktown. They started corresponding with Mr. Harding via email and couldn’t wait to meet their new friend in person.
