I hate to break it to you, but those stretch marks that have been assembling, nominating your body as their newfound resting place, aren’t going anywhere. Here at JumbleJoy, we choose to refer to those pesky unavoidable spots as strokes of victory and embrace these common reminders that we are indeed, getting older by the day.

While stretch marks are often the result of pregnancy, weight gain, heredity and thus, completely inevitable – some women prefer to not parade around flaunting those purple lightning bolts peaking out from beneath their clothes. 

There are multiple topical steroid creams available that promise significant results with continued use, but these ointments tend to be pricey and full of chemicals.

So, we did a little research and came up with a different solution – and no, it’s not your Mr. Clean Magic Eraser!

Our friends over at eHow advocate one…interesting…ingredient to result in lighter, less noticeable stretch marks – Vicks Vapor Rub. Apparently, the product contains two elements – menthol and eucalyptus oil – that are the most effective in clearing up those stubborn lines.

Because every body is different, there is no guarantee that this method will work. Many people swear by it, so I’d say give it a go!

So whether or not this technique is successful in shedding those unwanted scars, just remember, your body is not ruined. You are merely a tiger, a tiger who has earned her stripes. Now lets hear you roar!
