You might be way too young to know who Johnny Cash was, but if you want to know what he sounded like, just listen to this then 15-year-old. Vince Mira isn’t your average kid. He is a truly uncanny Johnny Cash impersonator. His cover of the legendary tune “Ring of Fire” completely wows anyone who’ve heard Johnny Cash sing.
His voice perfectly matches the country legend with a low and velvety tone. If your eyes were closed, you would swear it came from the famed singer himself. Originally from Federal Way, Washington, Mira began performing at Seattle’s Pike Place Market, where he was eventually discovered.
His music ultimately made its way to Johnny Cash’s son, John Carter Cash, and this resulted in an opportunity that allowed him to record his first album. Mira’s viral success has since earned him appearances on Good Morning America and well as this performance on The Ellen Show. He has since gone on to continue touring and recording with noted members of the music industry, including members of Pearl Jam.
His voice is fantastic, and hopefully he follows in Johnny’s footsteps and creates some great songs of his own in the future.
What did you think of Vince’s cover? If you are as impressed as we are, please SHARE the love and pass it on.
