Live television offers nothing more entertaining than bloopers. When you’re delivering the weather on live TV every day of the year, there’s bound to be some goofs and a whole lot of laughs. This blooper reel rounds up some of the best and hilariously worst weather bloopers of 2015.
Who doesn’t love to watch meteorologists laugh until they cry unable to complete their delivery of the day’s weather? Grab the tissues, because you will be laughing until you cry with this one.
My personal favorite occurred on one Phoenix set where the weather data was simply not cooperating. But Cory McCloskey at Fox10 handled it remarkably. “1,270 degrees in Ahwatukee,” McCloskey calmly reported. “I’m not your dad, but I would get out while you still can. I think steel boils at this temperature.”
Maria Genero at WGRZ in Buffalo, N.Y., just wanted to talk about how beautiful the sunset was last night. “It’s just so beautiful going from the dark all the way to the orange, it’s like — aw, it’s so nice,” Genero says.
“Yeah, I agree,” retorted news anchor John Beard. “And being over 50 helps, too.” After a long pause, Beard was unable to contain himself.
In this compilation, there were plenty of anchors who don’t know they are live, wardrobe malfunctions, cameras that seemed to have a mind of their own, and even an extremely playful beagle that wanted nothing more than to play fetch with the weather anchor while he’s giving his report.
