Bright colored flowered leis, grass hula skirts and umbrella-brimmed tropical drinks awaited this couple celebrating 50 happy years of marriage. The only catch? They had no idea!

Their thoughtful son carefully planned a surprise vacation for the two lovebirds to their dream location – Hawaii!

His mother always told him that Hawaii was one place she had only fantasized about but visiting the beautiful islands would not happen in her lifetime. The expenses of the trip seemed out of reach for her and her husband because their bills took financial priority.

Her son thought there was no way he could allow this! He says, “This really hurt to hear, as my mother did the best she could her entire life to provide for my sister and I and give me the opportunities in life that I wanted.”

Well, where there’s a will, there’s a way! So the two siblings secretly planned an all-expenses-paid vacation for their parents for their 50th wedding anniversary. Everything was taken care of for them, he even contacted their bosses to ensure they could take the time off.
