It was a time where the world was ever-evolving and culture was transforming from the movements of the civil rights, women’s and gay liberation, the sexual revolution and, of course, the explosive soundtrack of R&B, soul and rock and roll. The high school halls were used as a form of expression, as if each student was an aspiring model, expressing their ever-changing world down the runway. That time was the 60’s, and if you were lucky enough to have gone to school during this time, you know darn well just how psychedelic fashion really was. From bell-bottomed jeans to go-go boots, fashion just wasn’t a statement, it was a declaration.
Beverly Hills High School, circa 1969, was sanctuary for creative thinkers, free spirits, and rule breakers a -all expressing themselves via fashion. This is style!
