36-year-old Erica Morales was finally going to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a mother. She and her husband had been trying to get pregnant for years, and with the assistance of in vitro fertilization, they were finally going to be parents to 4 beautiful quadruplets! But this happy story took a tragic turn when Erica lost her life shortly after giving birth to her quads. Although family, friends and doctors were aware of the risks, they never imagined this mother would never be able to see her babies grow older.

Now, friends are gathering together to raise money for the now single-parent of quadruplets. “As long as they’re raised and shown the amount of love she would have given them- that’s what she would have wanted,” said a close friend of the family. It is still unclear as to what caused Erica’s death, but the hospital is sending their thoughts and prayers to the family during this hard time.
