The unlucky patrons who decided to get their morning cup of coffee at ‘Snice Cafe this sunny morning were in for a little more than they bargained for.
The people behind the remake of Stephen King’s classic, “Carrie,” decided to go a different route with the movie’s promotional campaign – utilizing unsuspecting victims in an elaborate prank.
While the movie adaptation flopped in the box office, the promotional prank has gone completely viral.
With the help of cords, magnetics and remote controls, the pranksters were able to make it appear as if the coffee shop fell victim to the scene of an aggravated girl unleashing her telekinetic powers. When a “customer” spills coffee on the angry teen, bystanders watch as the angry teen stands up and, as if possessed with pure sorcery, throws the accident-prone man against the wall.
Onlookers gasp, questioning what they have just seen. The reactions keep getting better as the girl’s hidden powers continue to reveal themselves.
While watching the poor crowd react in horror did provide for some quality entertainment, I can certainly say that I’m glad I wasn’t amongst them…I would have freaked!
