As beautifying as beauty products are, they can cause some serious irritations and allergic reactions in users.

One young woman has learned the hard way that pretesting should always be included in the beauty regimen before using a new beauty product. Especially if that product is hair dye.

Imgur user thechosenginger used the image-sharing site to chronicle her friend’s terrifying allergic reaction to her hair color.

She started off by showing an unbelievable picture of her face and head followed by what she looked like days after using the hair dye.

How she looks normally is nothing close to what she looked like after her allergic reaction…

The first image shows her friend on the day that she finally decided to go to the hospital. The top of her head and forehead appear to be enlarged with swollen cheeks, and one eye shut. Needless to say, this was the day she decided to go to the E.R.

The image might seem like it was tampered with, but throughout the healing process, the woman’s head continued to change shape drastically. 

On Day 2, the swelling only got worse.

By the third day her face had become so swollen that both of her eyes were closed, with the swelling going down on just one side of her face, leaving her unable to see out of her left eye.

By the fifth day, the woman’s head and face improved dramatically, however, she still didn’t look like herself. These images should serve as a stern warning to carefully use beauty products the way they should be used.
