Woman Finishes Psychology Test While In Labor

Women know that giving birth is no walk in the park. And with so many different scenarios that could possibly take place, chances are you’ll be in for a few surprises no matter how much you plan for the big day. For some moms-to-be, it is only natural to be a little scared. For this mom, not even contractions three minutes apart could stop her from taking a college exam online.

21-year-old Tommitrise Collins of Macon, Georgia was determined to take her college psychology test, despite the fact that she was preparing to deliver her baby at Coliseum Medical Center. In an interview with a local station, Collins said her plan was to handle as much pain as long as possible and when she took the test she was not on any medication.

The Middle Georgia State University student finished the two-hour exam in about an hour and 30 minutes. While doing so, her sister snapped a picture that has since gone viral.

Sister Shanell Chapman wrote, “This is what you call ‘Strong Priorities’. Contractions 3 minutes apart and still takes her Psychology Test! You are going to be a great mom baby sis!”

After roughly 20 hours of labor, Collins delivered a healthy baby girl, Tyler Elise, weighing 7 pounds and 10 ounces. She successfully passed her exam too. We know that Tyler is in good hands.

Love the determination!
