Woman Plans To Give Birth In Ocean Despite Experts Warning of Dangers

Some women opt to give birth in non-conventional ways. A water birth is one intriguing option. It happens when at least part of the labor, delivery, or both occurs while the mother is in a birth pool filled with warm water. It can take place in a hospital, a birthing center, or at home all while a doctor, nurse-midwife, or midwife helps through the process.

A new show called “Katie Piper’s Extraordinary Births” shows women who are pregnant but are having the birth in alternative ways- ways you would have never guessed.

In the first episode, Dorina Rosin and her partner Maika Suneagle, have decided they are taking the concept of water birth to a whole new level. Instead of the typical water birth that happens in hospitals and at home, Dorina is heading to the seato give birth.

As if that’s not unique enough, she claims that her midwife is a dolphin. Experts warn that it is a very dangerous approach to labor, but she firmly believes it is more “natural.”

Experts say dolphins, especially in the wild, are unpredictable, dangerous and not to be trusted around a pregnant woman – or an infant child, for that matter, according to Daily Mail.

The couple owns a healing retreat in Hawaii, and also believes that their child will be able to speak dolphin. When Dorina was at the 38-week mark with her pregnancy, she did a dolphin swim, so she could receive a blessing for their baby’s birth.
