Meet “The Hulk.” This 17 month old pit bull weighs in at a whopping 173 pounds, and he’s still growing. Don’t believe me? Check out this video where The Hulk steps on to a scale and his unbelievably large weight is revealed.

The dog’s owner Marlon Grennan openly admits that he breeds his dogs for size, telling The Huffington Post, “I have been strategically breeding my dogs for years to keep the best working traits alive.”

According to others, however, breeding pit bulls is not a good idea as the number of people abandoning their own pits is so high, adding to the number of these types of dogs is ultimately irresponsible.

Grennan retorts that he aids in the effort to take in rescue dogs and hopes to one day start his own pit bull rescue program.

Either way, this is one GIANT dog and in the end, I don’t think I would ever want to come face to face with this pup in a dark alley! What do you think?!
